Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci Breaks Guinness World Record for Longest Cooking Marathon.

Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. She cooked for over 87 hours and 50 minutes, beating the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Baci started her cooking marathon on Thursday, May 12, 2023, at 4pm. She cooked various dishes, including Nigerian Jollof Rice, Egusi Soup, and Pounded Yam. She also cooked international dishes, such as Chicken Alfredo and Spaghetti Bolognese.

Baci said that she was inspired to break the record after seeing a news article about Lata Tondon, the previous record holder. Tondon cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.

“I saw the article and thought, ‘I can do that,'” Baci said. “I love to cook, and I wanted to show the world that I could do something amazing.”

Baci said that she was tired, but she was also excited to have broken the record. She said that she plans to continue cooking in order to set her winning pace and share her love of food with others.

“I want to inspire people to cook,” Baci said. “Cooking is a great way to express yourself and to connect with others.”
