_16 year old Nigerian social change maker Dahunsi Oluwanifemi aims to create a digitally skilled future with online empowerment programme_

Sixteen year old Dahunsi Oluwanifemi is the founder of Teens World Empowerment, a youth led non-profit organisation which provides direct support, mentorship and programmes which upskill young people to be ready for the world of work and to create an impact in their communities. He has assembled a global team of dedicated young activists from across Nigeria, Kenya, Cameroon, the US and further afield. In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, he has launched a fully digital youth empowerment programme which is being supported by 27-year-old London-based Queen’s Young Leader and entrepreneur Adam Bradford. His initiative, AdamStart, has empowered over 8000 young people globally to become change makers and social entrepreneurs and Adam has recently been touring Africa with Nifemi as part of the launching of the project. Courses available digitally to young people include coding, web design, digital marketing, graphic design, mobile photography, 3D printing and animation. Speaking on the launch, Adam Bradford said: ‘In the face of the Corona crisis what the world needs is passionate and resourceful young people who will bring communities together and make sure our youth receive the skills, training and opportunities they need. Here at AdamStart we absolutely embody this spirit and this is why I am so excited for us to support Nifemi and his team on this valuable and notable initiative.’

Nifemi himself comments: “I personally dedicated my time and resources to this because I believe if the youths are not Empowered the future cannot be Powered!”
