I remember years back when I was newly admitted into the University of Uyo, it was time for me to leave my comfort zone and go face tertiary institution’s way of life.

I boarded a bus from Lagos and sat through the 12 hour journey, a journey which for the most part was boring. I just sat there watching the driver navigate himself and we, his passengers to the city of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.

During the journey, the thought about where I was going to lay my head before I secure myself a place to stay during the course of my schooling kept on ringing in my head, it even got to a point where I joked about something as serious as accommodation with a line like:
“Cheiiii! The son of man has no place to rest his head”.

Just as we got close to Akwa-Ibom state , I got hungry and got snacks from hawkers by the roadsides, I was short on cash at that period, so a lovely female offered to help to which I agreed to reimburse her on getting to Uyo.

We got talking and the journey that was set for a boring end just got a hit up. My accommodation problem popped up and she asked me if it was my first time, which it definitely was. She then asked if I was open to the idea of spending some days at a hotel, I nodded in affirmation, she then introduced to me Hotels.ng.

I was in awe that such innovation was in place, I immediately opened the Hotels.ng website and created an account and checked the city of Uyo the hotels available, I was glad to see up to 300 cyrated hotels,”Wide range of choice”, I said to myself.

With joy in my heart, I came across Majesty Realms located at Plot 166 Lagos street, Unit A, Ewet housing Estate. The mention of Lagos just had a way of reassuring me that my stay will be worth it. I successfully booked a room at the hotel with my mobile phone.

I arrived Uyo, boarded a cab and was impressed with the city as people in Lagos had very bad impressions of the city but I was glad, it wasn’t actually true. Uyo really changed for the better and I enjoyed my ride to the hotel. On getting there, it had ball the facilities I saw on the Hotels.ng website – free Wi-Fi, gym and a standard swimming pool. The reviews were absolutely spot on.
I got into the hotel premises, checked in and got to my room. I was given warm and genuine assistance by the hotel staffers. The room was spacious, and I screamed ‘’home home’’. Majesty Realms also offered additional services like daily house-keeping, ironing/laundry, car rental and 24hours room services.

I got to stay for about a week at Majesty Realm Hotels. In that time, I got my screening done and got myself accommodation closer to school. I could always rewind and think of the many ways things could have gone wrong, but thanks to Majesty Realm Hotels and Hotels.ng being efficient, I was made to feel at home at my first visit to Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
