Chef Maliha broken the Guinness World Record after emerging the longest cooking chef.

Chef Maliha Mohammed cooked for 75 hours non-stop, setting the new record on Sunday, August 18 at Kenya Bay Beach Resort in Mombasa after emerging the longest cooking chef, reports CGTN Africa.

36-year-old Maliha, conducted her first trial at Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) by cooking 100 recipes in 36-hour non-stop over the weekend. Mohammed began a second trial of 200 recipes for 54 hours, in July.

Maliha, a mother of two had prepared a list of 400 recipes of local and international cuisines for the competition to have her name on the Guinness Book of World Records.

The food she prepared will be offered to charity homes and orphanages as part of her initiative to raise awareness and to feed the less fortunate in Mombasa. The event took place at August 12 and was supervised by officials from the Guinness World Record.

Rickey Lumpkin, the previous longest cooking chef, cooked for 68 hours 30 minutes and one second, in Los Angeles, USA, December 2018.
