The governorship candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke was declared winner of the Osun State Gubernatorial Election by the Tribunal
In Abuja on Friday at its sitting, it held that the rerun election conducted in the state after the initial poll was illegal.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Gboyega Oyetola as winner of the September 2018 election, but the PDP and Adeleke filed a petition at the tribunal challenging Oyetola’s victory.
Oyetola was said to be a not validly returned as the winner of the election by a three-man panel of the tribunal led by Ibrahim Sirajo, the judge.
